Living in the Bathroom?
While I decide about whether an outside hamstery would be too scary for me, I have been thinking of other options of where to keep hammies in the house.
Would they be ok living in the bathroom?
We have a big bathroom, and we could fit one of Hollys Argos shelving units in there without it making any difference to us space wise.
Opinions please!

he he, i used to move my hamsters to the bathroom every night because they kept me awake. Im not sure how they would do with the amount of sprays that are used in bathrooms, or the humidity when someone has a shower.

We don't use sprays in the bathroom, so they would be ok with that.
I wonder about the humidity though.

maybe you could put your bed in the bathroom and let the hams have your bedroom??

What cages are you using? I wonder if just putting a cool damp towel over the top of the cage would work if you're having a shower?

I wouldnt advise keeping hamsters in the bathroom, it really would be humid and might ause condensation in the cage, the air gets really humid too.
There are plenty of fungal and respiratory diseases that i reckon could be triggered?

Hi I to wouldn't use the bathroom due to humidity and sometimes with the humidity mould spores and fungus can grow and with hammies in there too not really ideal. Have you got a garage? if so what is it like? We have some of ours in the garage along with the bunnies and guinea-pigs they are on a shelf with heating and lighting and the garage is joined to the house via a door which is always kept opened 24/7 we do not keep the cars in their never have nver will. They seem happy in there.

Sorry guys...just realised this was still going on...
HW is building us a hamstery shed, (Which he claims he can spiderproof ) and so all of the hammies will eventually make there way into there. We have lots of room elsewhere to keep us going without them going in the bathroom, I was just thinking aloud. Thanks anyway though.
