I found it easier to bend / twist the mesh (until it comes off) with pliers rather than using wire cutters, as I found the wire cutters made it have a very sharp edge, and sometimes the cut off bits would ping off somewhere.

May I ask if it is possible to mesh a zoozone 1 and still be able to open the white wire grill on top?

It must be otherwise you wouldnt be able to open it to feed water and clean out the hamster!!!
