is the imac fantasy a dwarf cage and is the mini duna fun a syrian cage?

hi guys..

just watched a youtube vid I'm subscribed to.

in the video the lady sald that the imac fantasy is not suitable for a Syrian and is a dwarf cage?

i thought that the imac was a great cage for a Syrian and was planing on getting one for my dwarf Jerry at some point.

instead she got another cage called the mini duna fun
i don't know a lot about the cage but i thought the mini duna was a dwarf cage?

i have a similar type of cage to the mini duna for Jerry and i wouldn't of thought it was any where near big enough for a Syrian?

i would appreciate your thoughts!!

I would agree. I think the Duna Fun is too small for a Syrian, but an IMac Fantasy (preferably with at least one expansion pack) would make a good home for one.

I agree with both of you too

We own three duna fun cages and if we kept Scamp or Fwirl in one it'd be a matter of time before Scamp broke something trying to make us change her cage and Fwirl ate her way out due to boredom.
You'd need the top level out to fit a decently sized wheel in there, tubes off because of the wheel being in the way, and then you basically have a mini duna that fits a big wheel. Not a good option for a syrian cage.

Bar spacing on the IMAC can be a bit dodgy for dwarfies too.
Can't quite understand why she said that when the floorspace on the imac is bigger than the duna =/

Squeak, my Syrian, loved her iMac when it was attached to two bin cages with an expansion set, but isn't too impressed with her Alexander.

My Syrian is in an Imac Fantasy with two expansion sets added and she loves it.

A mini duna fun is no way big enough for a syrian as a permanent home!! It's just a mini duna with the wire bit and another shelf which is just too small...
The imac is a good syrian or dwarf cage depending on the dwarf (bar spacing is 1cm). It's great because you can build upwards. However, perhaps only a smaller syrian would be good in it because the only syrian sized wheel you can fit in there is a large flying saucer and that takes up nearly a whole level!! But yeah, I'd definitely say out of the two cages, the imac is the more syrian suited cage!!

Fudge is a big Syrian...well I think she is, she was way bigger than all the others when I got her.
But the wheel thing is why I got the expansion packs because, like Knotty said, the large flying saucer takes up most of the floor.
I managed to fit a sputnik house on the same floor too but I needed the other levels so she could have more stuff to do and space to run about in

Teeny robos could squeeze through the bars of an iMac fantasy...built for dwarves? Yes, bigger dwarves as some members have successfully done in the past. Personally I would not risk it.

It's great for Syrians with cage extensions tho
