Boo uses hers without the top on it for some reason, she wouldn't touch it with the top, but as soon as it just looked like a hammock, she loved it

My ham Betty isn't really interested in hers at all but my mice absolutely love them. They have 2 in their Barney cage and they attach very easily

My new hamster, Sherlock, loves sitting in his. He is a climber though so it isn't surprising.

He grapples his way to the top of the cage and climbs round the gaps in the arms that attach the sputnik to the top of the cage, hangs off the entrances, hoists himself around, it's quite funny to watch. He'll go in and out throughout the night.

He used to chew the top of the bars he could get to by half monkey-barring, but since then I've stuck a little wooden gnaw toy for him. The sputnik and that together make chewing a little bit more interesting for him so he doesn't attack the bars so often now. Can be useful as well as fun.

I think it'll depend on your pet if they use it or not, if they like climbing they'll probably like sputniks. They're really easy to attach on and off, so if they don't use it, it's no worry to get off.

If they don't seem interested in it, hide some treats in it? I put a little bedding in mine and hide two or three little tit-bits for Sherlock to sniff out. Thinking of putting some sand in there soon though, see how that goes.

I love them, my old hamster had 2 (one on the floor to sleep in and one on the roof to eat in) but my current hamster doesn't like his as he likes to stretch out and the hamster sputniks they need to curl up

We have lots of sputniks. I prefer the rat sized ones for syrians but Fwirl in particular used to love hers
Timmy and Bump share one, and Scamp and Fwirl have another five (in various sizes) between them lol

I have tried 2 (small sized ones) for my dwarf hamsters, and none of them cared to climb in for too long. I ended up taking the Sputniks out eventually, as they simply took up space =/ I can see them being a potentially entertaining play / sleeping area for a syrian hamster though.

Belle loves hers!!! I got her a rat sized one off ECF, and was able to choose the colors myself. She loves sleeping in it and would spend ages making her bed at night time lol

My Cheeto has one and she often climbs in and out of it for fun. Fluffy also had one for most of her life and she slept in it almost all the time. I actually just placed an order for another one for Jasmine.
