I wasn't going to dress Hammy up. I was only going to give her a clothing set and putting it near her cage. its classy to make her some dress.

I think making the clothes will be fine, if it's just for Hammy to look at and maybe have a sniff at them. She might want to chew on them! Womblehands is right, though, it would be stressful to try to dress Hammy up and she wouldn't be happy. You could hang them up near her cage, as a sort of decoration.

If you wanted to make something for inside the cage, why not try a hammock like the one in this thread? Home made hamster hammock

Er... Our lot have Christmas presents under the tree, so am listing them for each hamster.

Scamp - A ball with a bell (she loves to make a racket so will probably adore waking us at 5am every night again...)
Skip and Whizz - A grass-tube each
Dusty, Scruff, Timmy and Bump - Four new houses for in their cage, since Dusty and Bump are getting a little big for the dwarf houses they currently have lol

We also gave them other gifts recently though, and Skip and Whizz got a new chew toy each (mostly as a birthday present, but they also got a lion/hippo house each as early birthday presents a while ago), Scamp got a crinkle tunnel and a treat k-bob (to try and keep her mind off bars), and the russians got some extra P@H yellow cubes and some cheese-shaped blocks of wood with holes for them to climb though.

Oh and in January Scamp, Skip and Whizz get new caging plans too
(Scamp has a rat hammock waiting to go in hers when she gets it, but thats just because it'll bridge a gap better than a bridge would lol)

Oh I forgot the group ones!
We also got them a bag of treats to share, and as part of the yearly pet-present routine (I buy my parents pets presents every year), Mam got them some mixed fruit and nuts from Hec, Ange and David (the rotties and rabbit that live with my parents).

Wow, Sam, that's a lot of presents! I thought Toffee had lots till I read your list!

Kim, forgot to ask what kind of cloth you are using? Don't use anything fluffy, as it could be harmful. Something like cotton would be OK.

Awwwr, I'm not Christian either but I celebrate Christmas. Hey, we can still give presents, right? It doesn't have to be all religious :
Im not Christian and I dont have a religeon persay (but I have beliefs of my own that would be classed as religous) however I have never ever seen christmas as a religous holiday because it is more of a commercial holiday now! I like that about it because it feels as though anyone from any culture or religeon can enjoy it and even though for some it symbolises the birth of Jesus for me Christmas has one universal purpose and thats family After all who celebrates christas alone?

As for ham presents! Well here is my list -

Thistle - A box of mealworms and a Carrot biscuit.
Pippy - Millet spray and a hammock
Cookie, Truffle, Kiku and Jení - A ladder with hanging toys on it to hang from their cage and a second silent wheel
Trevor - A new, bigger ball and in January he is having a full cage makeover!

lol its not that bad...
Its only one present each really, since the others were technically not Christmas... And even counting them its only two each lol (Except Scamps treat k-bob and since it was purchased entirely as part of my campaign to stop the bar chewing it had nothing whatsoever to do with Christmas lol, and the robos had to get birthday presents, everyone else'll get one when their birthday shows up...)
The treats I got them to share was just me going "oooh I want..." and using Christmas as an excuse
And my Mum getting them something made sense given that her pets all have gifts from us (except her shared chickens, but I'm shoving a handful or two of mealworms in a bag and wrapping that up for them now anyway lol)

As you might have gathered, I actually regard the pets as of equal importance to humans when it comes to Christmas and such lol. Grew up giving the pets gifts and its a tradition I love so never want to end.

How much has Toffee got?

Oh and the cage extensions are just because Skip and Whizz were too nervous for us to be ok with giving them more space until very recently but they'd love more space so I don't want them confined to a mini duna each forever. (It used to take an hour to get Whizz out so we could clean her cage so she wasn't getting more space until she was a fair bit better, she's still not great but I've planned the bigger spaces around still being able to get her out in about 15 minutes unless she's really playing up.)
Scamp gets her cage rearranged mostly because we're nicking the bin cage and replacing it with a second hand hamster heaven, so that the bin can be split and made into robo cages. We hope the hamster heaven space being all on one level will leave her happy despite us nicking the bin (which has more floor space split over levels) - if it doesn't I'll have to buy an extra box and add that to her absurd amount of caging, but I'm really, really hoping it doesn't come to that lol

My partner actually asked his parents for the wood for the robo bin caging for Christmas because they could get it easier lol, so they brought it when they delivered Christmas gifts recently. So we even asked for hamster gift related stuff for Christmas ourselves to an extent

I don't think I could look after so many hams. Toffee's my only one and he seems to take up a great deal of time - even if it's just hubby and me talking about him!

I've got him a Christmas-pudding shaped bed from Pets at Home, a wooden roundabout, a cardboard rocking horse and cardboard four-poster bed. He'll also get a walnut and some sprout and potato from dinner.

I've decorated his cage with a cardboard sleigh, a chain with wooden Christmas shapes and three Christmassy decorations made from a kind of raffia. All from P@H.

He's already got a Christmas tree bed, which he found very entertaining and tried to rip the base to shreds! Toffee doesn't really do toys, so he might not appreciate all his gifts!

lol we have a fairly straightforward system and work well together so all the jobs can be done quickly between us, and spending time with them is fun so doesn't count anyway
We also find most conversations about them either involve all seven (or a fair few) or are random things that are unlikely to ever affect all of them.
Like talking about changing substrate affects all of them, and half the time a conversation that starts off about one merges with conversations about another anyway... Like Scamps bar chewing (unlikely to affect the others) merged with the robo cage expansions (they get identical cages since they dislike humans too much to let us get to know them), and now Scamp is getting a cage rearrangement so her bin can become the robos expansions because the bin was her favourite thing to chew the bars on.
Good thing we like talking about the little terrors really, but it all works lol

And see! Your list is 10 items for one pet lol, we got less than 20 for seven of them, and half of those weren't particuarly Christmas related even.

Ours get their first ever taste of baby food on Christmas, we decided it was much better than working out what was hamster-safe in our dinner lol, and they get a ton of outside cage time anyway so we'll let them try the baby food then
