Its not amazingg for a hamster but it is big enough for a syrian though I would call it the minimum its 400 sq inches and the tubes are the perfect size. but as far as building a cage upwards floor space is generally best but I dont know whats all available in the UK ... Here our decent options are very limited.

Thanks, i think i probably will go with this as i'm struggling to find a cage that we can fit that has the right floor space. At least with the imac she'll get the space even if its over a few levels, at the moment she loves having levels, when we took the top level out to clean it last week she just sat and stared at us as though we were evil humans lol!

I think to be honest it will be the imac with 1 or 2 extensions, probably more eventually - just trying to find somewhere i can see one so i can be sure, then i'll order online because its cheaper
