It's a lovely idea, I think it's wonderful that you care so much to do that even for a temporary measure, but I too would be worried about escape or harm. Right now I've got Albi free ranging in the kitchen, and the little so-and-so would have escaped under the TINY gap under the fridge several times if I wasn't here to stop him.

Yes that's a good idea Gillzy, I now only have her in the bath when I can supervise, and put her cage lid on at night. I like that you had Albie free range in the kitchen samincittagazze! You're right they are very slippery creatures and she could have escaped through some crack I'm sure. Thanks everyone X

I'd be worried about the temperature - baths are very, very cold which isnt good for hamsters. The towel wont provide any heat at all.

I stopped putting Luna in the bath for play time purely because when I would get her out her feet would be freezing cold.
