Default Natural Cage

I want to make my hamster's cage look more natural, like it looks more like it's outside. I've attached a picture of my cage. Sorry about the picture being so blurry, my camera right now is not very good. Does anyone have any ideas?

I would look into getting some cork tunnels or tubes (I prefer the tunnels as hams are less likely to just block them with substrate & you can just lift them up to check underneath.
Bendy bridges always look natural so make full use of those, coconut hides are good too.
Depending on which species you have you could make a sand area but try not to take up too much of the cage space with that.
Lots of deep substrate too.
You can get wooden wheels too which look really nice but you need to get a good quality one as some of the cheeper bark type ones aren't so good & wood does need to be painted with plastikote water based enamel paint before use.
A good sized wooden house would look nice too.

You could have a look at the thread "Let's see your cages" on the Forum under Housing for ideas.

The website Zooplus sells tank style enclosures and shows customers photos which can be interesting to look at.

I find that adding a level or two rather than all flat can really help with creating a more natural set up. By level i mean a platform or flat roofed big wooden house on each end of the tank submerged into substrate with a bendy bridge ladder leading up to it. I like the 55cm long Trixie bendy ladders and my dwarfs love to run across them and so does my Syrian but his is suspended midair because he likes heights.
Cork, wicker, wood, a ceramic mushroom hamster hide, coconut hut, boredom breaker mats, stones, pebbles and lots of different millet sprays are all good materials for a natural set up.

I mixed in botanical hay into the bedding to help with nesting. Also put in wheat and oat sprays along with wood sticks for chewing. Adding a piece of grapevine wood or some aspen shaving might give it a more natural look as well.
