Default Silent Spinner Trouble

One of our smaller Syrians has a regular Silent Spinner Wheel on a stand in her cage. Yesterday we noticed that she wasn't using it as much as normal, and that when she did the wheel had become all 'droopy' and was banging off the stand. On closer inspection we found that the yellow plastic stand attachment has cracked, allowing the wheel to flop! We have had to change it for another wheel as it won't be long before it comes off. We are very annoyed as this wheel is quite new and Silent Spinners are expensive, and should be more robust than this. We have contacted the manufacturers, and are waiting to see if we get any response.

Has anyone else come across this problem with Silent Spinners?

yes to my Syrian Ali. i had bought him a comfort wheel when he was a baby but he was too small so i bought one of those. he snapped it after 2 days and then another a week or so later. i never thought to complain i just bought more wheels. he ended up going thorugh 4 wheels in a few weeks (he ebnt one out of shape when he moved it). and yet he's had his wodent for a good while now with no poblems. i think it's because the spinners can't take the weight!
