best wheel for a chinese?
i'm half way to adopting a chinese (i'm not well at the minute) and i'm wondering what is the best wheel? i know a wodent is too big, would a silent spinner be ok? my robo has one and it seems ok, i've no problems so far. i don't particularly like comfort wheels either so are there any alternatives?
although i've had a chinese before i had the laziest creature ever and he was terrified of wheels so i had no problem finding a suitable wheel!

I think the silent spinner would be fine however I have heard of a couple getting their feet hurt in the tiny spaces where the two sides fit together. These little gaps need taped over or sealed with silicon. (Aquarium sealent is safe) so there is no chance of a tiny chinese foot getting jammed in there. As they are so speedy a very free running wheel would be best. I have seen videos of them looping the loop they go so quickly!

i have 2 fully grown chinese, one of whom i've had for 1.5yrs and always used silent spinners for. they both control their running in them very well and never flip. i have a 2-level imac for each of them with a silent spinner

If it is new I would return it to the shop for a replacement. It should not break that soon. They can be dismantled and the ball bearings lubricated but I would take it back.
