I'm mostly making floors, stairs, hideyholes, platforms and homes. None of it's designed to be chewed, but it's inevitable, especially with the gerbils who devour anything and everything!

So is the consensus that easily sourced and worked materials like untreated pine are OK for construction, just not for bedding?
