Sounds as if my best bet would be the junior wodent wheel. I`m not keen on using wooden wheels to be honest. Can wodent wheels be attached to the bars on the cage? Or do they have to stay attached to the stand they come with? I`m sure I read somewhere that you have to cable tie the stand to the bars if you want to `hang` the wheel on the cage?

I'm not sure, they don't have a little truck icon next to a 28cm size saying they're going to restock. They have the Trixie Wodent-like wheel in stock in that size, but no wooden Karlie 28cm wheel that I can see.

Yeah, they have to stay with their stand. People have cable tied the stand to the roof of the cage, so its upside down and that seems to work well actually, but I have not tried it myself.

Thanks Hope. I thought that was the case. I wonder if that Trixie wheel attaches to the cage bars? It`s bigger than I wanted but might be an option. I do prefer the wheel to attach to the bars if possible.

Im not at home at the moment to check so Im not 100% sure, but I *think* it does, in the same way as a slient spinner attaches, but Im not certain. Afew other members have that wheel though so they may be able to give you an answer.

Well I read the description of the Trixie wheel and it does state that it can be attached to cage bars aswell as it`s stand, so I popped along to the surreypetsupplies website and the wheel was under £8.00, so went to order one, but the website kept asking me for a username and password and each time I typed these in, it told me I was already registered (I have bought from them before but it was years ago) and I don`t remember being asked to enter any usernames or passwords back then I just clicked on what I wanted to buy and went through checkout and paid? The site seems to be more reptile based these days. Strange as it used to look more like a normal pet supply website? Yet the wheel is on there but I can`t order it because of these silly glitches.

Got One! I went back onto the surreypetsupplies website and had to create a `profile` in order to purchase a Trixie wheel. Strange website....

But I bought Boris a 28cm Trixie wheel and with postage, the total came to £11.67p, so not bad! Considering some of the other wheels this size were over £16.00 online. At least it will give him a decent wheel to play on for a while and if he loves it, I can always upgrade to a Wodent Wheel or something similar.

Thanks very much for the link guys otherwise I probably would`nt have found it! I will let you know when the wheel arrives and what Boris thinks of it.

I wouldn't go smaller than a 10" inch wheel for a syrian. I have 11" and 12" wheels for my syrians (karlie boggie wheel and wobust wheel). When I see pics of syrians running in 8" wheels they often have an arched back or they have to lift up their head what causes pressure on there necks.
I have a picture of two syrians, the left one running in a 11" wheel, the right one is running in a 8" wheel

When you look at the red line you will see that the 8" wheel is way two small for this 4 month old syrian. So make sure that your syrian really fits into his wheel
I think the Wobust Wheel, Trixie Wheel and the big Karlie Boggie Wheel are a good choice.
