I've noticed a bit of a problem common to many users here at hamster centre. An affliction I've heard referred to as GMC (or get more cage) and I think I'm coming down with rather a serious case of it.
Even though I live in a tiny room on campus where they don't even allow pets and my chinese has a perfectly adequate mini duna to live in (with millions of fun diy cardboard toys), I can't help but browse for bigger better cages that I both can't afford and wouldn't fit in my room; at least not being very conspicuous when it comes to room inspections.
So what fantastical plans have you made and then rejected due to restrictions on space and/or funds?
Myself. I'd love to get the wooden phoenix cage from zooplus. And then three or four different shades of plasti-kote to make it beautiful and waterproof the inside as my little Goku isn't exactly toilet trained. And a karlie wonderland wheel, with the inside plasti-koted to match my colour scheme.
Some day. Some day....

I would love to have the money, and permission to have a whole shed with levels for my hammy ;D although i think id get several dwarfs for a big shed
Id love to buy all the wooden more expensive toys as well..
My Syrian has the Hamster Heaven so she couldn't really get a larger cage. I'd love to make a homemade wooden cage one day though! Or have a whole room for my hammies.
