House Change for my hammys
I have now got the stand for Bellas new 4ft tank and just waiting for my brother in law to bring the tank over But.....we also found a 3ft tank in my in laws garden .... So We are now putting Dexter in the 4 ft tank as he can use wood shavings, Bella is going into Dexters old cage which is two duna fun joined together. Steve and Sookie are staying in there current cages This also frees Bellas old cage and the 3ft tank that i could move some new hammys into (well i am working on it lol)
Any way will give updates on how the cage moves are going. Need to make lids for both the tanks first before hammys can move in

Re: House Change for my hammys
For people that use tanks for cages - What do you use to make a lid? I was thinking of plywood?

Re: House Change for my hammys
Here are my current cages and who is in which cage
Sookies Cage. She is staying put for the moment. When she is bigger i may move her but i thought i would show her home any way
This is Dexters current cage. I am not too sure if i should put the Russian hammy i am hoping to get in here.

This is Bellas current cage. Again not too sure who will end up in this cage.
This is the stand for Bellas new cage. Steve is on the bottom shelf behind the white cloth. (He is hidden as he still is shy) Also may put Dexter in his tank under there in stead.
This is Steves cage. I may move him into Sookies cage once she gets moved
I will update with images on the new cage tomorrow

Quick question - does Sookie get on OK with the Ovo water bottle?

Re: House Change for my hammys
tbh, I'd only put a dwarf in one duna fun that way you have another spare cage (possibly if you decide to move sookie?)
Although I've heard that if you have a hamster who needs taming, it's best to take the middle bit out, and make it into a mini duna, and then once tame add the shelves back in so that they don't have somewhere to hide

She uses it all the time. At first she use to make the water drip to the floor and lick it up but now she has got the hang of it.
I am not too sure what i plan to do with moving everyone else. The second tank is only 2ft ish (i thought it was bigger ) so i dont feel that would be a good size for Dexter so he is staying in his current set up and i plan to extend it. So now i have the cambridge and tank spare. I am thinking of keeping the tank just in case i ever get 2 hammys to live together. I will have to think about it all Any way here are the pics of Bellas new cage I am ordering her a wodent wheel this weekend.
