Default Re: The Finished IKEA Expedit Cage!

Hows the cage holding up? When me and my other half move I'll be making a expedit cage, no point making it before I move because getting it down two flights of stairs would be impossible lol.

My other half is a bit worried that it wont last - pee will damage it, hamster will chew it etc so thought I'd ask how your one is holding up

Gahh! Sorry i hadn't got back to you sooner!

Most of it is very good, there hasn't been any damage with pee or anything as i clean out their pee corners regularly.

The only things that have not been holding up so well is the perspex doors and the holders for them.
There is a lot of small screeches on the doors from there they are too close together when opening and closing and the holders for them sometimes come off! But that was down to the glue stuff we were using, so we changed to a very strong one and it hasn't happened since

The hams do chew a bit on the perspex guards, but you can barely notice it.

Again, sorry for not getting back sooner! x
