Crittertrail and Habitrail Ovo - Compatible?
 

Hi guys!

Do you know if Crittertrail and Habitrail Ovo cages can be connected? Are the tubes compatible? There are bits and bobs from both that I like (and dont, Ovo water bottles are awful) so I'm hoping you can connect the two systems.

Have you bought the cages already?

If not, then please don't. They are two of the least recommended cages due to small size and vetilation. For the same amount of money (or less!) you could buy a more suitable cage. :D

No not bought them yet, just looking into different cages.

I only plan on getting one WW and wouldnt only get the one cage/section anyway. I'll be taking everything into consideration - ventilation, bar spacing, climbing (as in not having a set up where a hammie is going to break his neck) and what have you.

I know that a lot of people do hate the Ovo cages but I also know a lot who have found them ideal for dwarf hamsters with neither the size or ventilation being an issue. I would never put a Syrian in an Ovo or just have the one compartment.

Anyway, thats a topic for another discussion.

Been recommended the Mini Duna in another thread here so I'll be looking into those next :)

The main issues for the ovo is the lack of corners, hammies love them :)
no idea about the tubes though, I know ferplast are compatable with savic though, (well I think) so there are a lot of cross-brand compatabilities around..no idea about these though :)

Not sure about the tube. but id do for the mini duna, its perfect! :)

Dwarfs have furry feet and so struggle with climbing vertical tubes. May be best if you do buy this cage to have it horizontal instead of vertical.
