Yeah that is great I hope to be there around 10:00 am (but I always forget something and have to detour to a Tesco on the way - usually dog biscuits!)

If bringing a hamster for the pet class bring their normal enclosure or a travel cage if you have one. We will usually have show pens for hire on the day. These should be lined with an inch of wooden pelleted cat litter, a chunk of wet vegetable or fruit (carrot/apple/cucmber), and ONE plain coloured dog biscuit (Bonio are good). I always get into trouble for giving two but my hamsters eat them so fast...

If anyone fancies taking a hamster (or two) home then bring a strong container - a 5 litre clean dry ice cream tub wth holes drilled in the lid is ideal, a 1kg margarine tub on the other hand is only suitable for a dwarf hamster to go straight home in 20 minutes at the very maximum. Old boxes and tubs gratefully received as are raffle prizes - these can be anything from old books or CDs to a smelly candle or whatever you have lying around and are happy to donate.

Are you entering a hammie Suga? Sounds fun. We are going to Rotherham show on Sunday with our 5 hammies!

I think the Northern Hamster Club gang up on me as they always seem to have shows at the same time or the week before/after a HAMSOC show. It is only because the show this weekend is down the road from us I am getting to go to the Seminar otherwise two hamster events in a month would be out, especially the other side of Brimingham...

No not entering or taking Conker with me. She has been unwell with a chest infection type thing for around 3 weeks and just seems to be getting over it now. I don't want to risk her picking anything up. The first sign of anyone with a cold and I'm out of there. I am so looking forward to getting back to my own bed (i have been sleeping on the floor in the lounge next to her - "just in case").

I'm also not taking any carry containers so I can't get tempted whilst there - we are definitely remaining a 1 Conker family :-)

Too many temptations to buy more hamsters! I`ll bet there will be some crackers there on show.

I am sure she will be better off at home snug and warm Glad you will still come along to meet us and see what you need to do in April at the next show when hopefully Conker will be taking part.

Conker would either spend the time trying to escape or asleep. Oh she is the bestest in the world and it would be so unfair of me to bring her along and win everything insight, not giving others a chance to have a go. Tee hee :-)
