No, is it complicated to join? Do I have to breed/show hamsters to join?

((I have to say, I'd like to put Pepper in pet class as he is so friendly! But poorly marked))

Do you have a date/time/location for the Glasgow one? When you do, let me know

Thanks!

No it is a club for everyone - you can own one pet hamster to join. All you need is to send in the form with appropriate fee for the year. Also bear in mind no hamster is perfect so feel free to enter main classes, you never know what you will be up against and may well win. Pepper may be the only patterned hamster and you will win by default!

Glasgow Date 29th April - it will be part of the Glasgow Vet School Rodeo event so check out the Glasgow Univeristy website for more details. Family fun day with rides, games, dog shows, duck herding, music, bouncy castles, shows, food, fun and laughter! Event runs form 11am - 5pm. Contact Dr Karen MacEachern phone 0141 330 5700, email [email protected]

As I get more information I will post it here.

I might just sign up for Hamsoc then!

What would I have to do to enter Pepper in a show? I suspect there may be others of his type though, he's a longhaired banded (big black bit in his band though, and he's browning a bit). I would love to enter him just to see anyway, and in a pet class.

9th September Edinburgh HAMSOC show!

Closer to the date I will post details of the Show Secretary whom you should contact to advise you will be bringing your hamster along, that's it. Pet Class you don't need any special equipment, for the Main classes you need to organise hiring Hagens from the Show Secretary or buy some! They are relativelty inmexpensive and make great carry cases for trips to vets etc. I have them for sale or sometimes Lidl does them. Most good petshops either have them in stock or can get them in for you.
