Default The "ESC" Class

I was looking through old schedules for the Southern Hamster Club and found one in 2005 for the southern Hamster Club with the number 12 class titled "ESC" (Endangered Standard Colours)
To include Rex, Satin, Patterned, Short Haired and Long Haired in the following colours only: Beige, Dark Grey, Light Grey, Lilac and Rust.

I am semi-new to the fancy and was curious as to why this class was "ditched" so to speak? Was it lack of entries?

I breed for Lilacs specifically so to find that there was a "special class" for Lilacs to help boost their numbers, to me, is kinda exciting and also saddening that they got rid of this class which is why I want to know the reason.

I'm probably taking a huge long shot here with thinking that Hamster Fanciers from 2005 will be on HC. But you never know.
