Don't overlook the pet class in Bracknell in a couple of months time. Not too far away. Quigley's adult coat should be grown by then. Also from his own thread it sounds as though he is calming and taming nicely. All ready to be handled by a judge in the early afternoon!

Rads, Pip almost won best in show for the main show? That's incredible! I'm not really sure how shows go, so apologies if I am wrong, but don't hamsters have to win their class in order to be eligible for best in show? So, she must have won best SH golden or something (probably a different class. Don't know what golden banded comes under...)? Pip is gorgeous, so I'd not be surprised. Probably has better markings than Quigley!

Coco Might go to Bracknell even if I don't end up bringing Quigley, it would be fun!

There is sometimes a Best in Show for the Pet Class which is separate from the Best In Show of the Main Classes and yes, for a hamster to win Best in Show they will need to be not only the top scoring hamster in their straight class but also the top scoring hamster for the entire Syrian or Dwarf Section.

You do occasionally get a really nice hamster from a pet shop and providing they appear as standards require, there's no reason why they shouldn't do well in shows.
