Default Bath (SHC) - 18th February 2017

The Southern Hamster Club is hosting it's first show of the year at Claverton Down, Bath on 18th February 2017.

You can find the show schedule here: https://hamsters-uk.org/media/Schedu...Bath%20Feb.pdf

Who is planning to go to the show?

For those attending via public transport, the venue is easily accessible via bus from the city centre or Bath Spa train station.

You will need to catch either the U1 (First) 20A or 20C (Wessexstar) services.

If anyone has any queries about public transport then just ask as I'm happy to help.

Hi.
I'm planning on coming but I am unsure whether you can purchase hamsters at this show as I am looking to do so? Is that possible? Thank you.

Yes, there'll be a sales table where you'll be able to buy a hamster.

If you're looking for something specific then it's best that you contact the Sales Manager the day before the show as she'll know by then what has been booked in.

I can't wait to come and am entering one of my hammies for the first time in a show! I hope to learn lots about Campbells and Chineseys. <3

Hopefully I'll come home with a Campbell or if I'm supremely amazingly awesomely lucky (Doubt it, haha) a Chinesey to show in the next show we go to!

Also, thank you, Fluffagrams for the travel information! It's my first time in Bath ever so the Buses were confusing me, so I'm glad that getting the U1 is correct!

If you're coming in by train then you'll need to cross the road once you leave the train station and take the street on your left rather than going straight on. Walk along this street to the bus stops that are outside the Sainsbury's Local. The stops should have the bus numbers that they serve and you'll need to look for the bus that says 'University of Bath' on the front. The U1 is usually a burgundy double decker bus and they tend to run fairly frequently, roughly every 10 minutes.

Are you there for the main show or pets?

Thank you for that! Google was telling me to catch the U1 by walking straight down the road! Have written this down so I don't forget.

I'm entering Main Show.

It probably depends which doors Google thinks you'll be leaving the station by but it's not a problem if you keep going straight on up Manvers Street as you'll be able to catch the bus by the Abbey too.

If you head towards the bus station on Dorchester Street then you shouldn't go too far wrong and will see the Sainsbury's Local just opposite.

Do come and say hello before the show, I usually wear my navy Metallica Hamstery hoodie to shows and will probably be smooshing a Chinesey.

when I've been before, I've caught a taxi up to the show from the train station and a bus back down as I wasn't sure where the centre was. The taxi wasn't too expensive and there is a taxi rank at the station.

For those driving to the show, there are currently temporary traffic lights on the London Road (A4) which may cause some delay so you may need to allow extra time for your journey.

I didn't know whether Taxi's would allow Hamsters! Will get a Taxi up and bus back then. Will be easier and warmer for my little Ham!
