Re: Real London Show (Bracknell) 10th September
Not sure - when we went to Bath he was fine the first time I woke him up (to check on him after his long journey) and when he was then woken again by the judges. But when the judges came back to him, he'd dug himself under the substrate and they had to search for him!! Probably my fault for putting in a lot of substrate! I usually fill it half full to stop him chewing it, and add more if it's cold. Then he gets his bedding ... Might have to take a bag to remove some once we get there!

Re: Real London Show (Bracknell) 10th September
Lol pinkneon! Watching a hammy take a bow would be priceless. Ooh I would love to get a photo with the famous, handsome Sweep! I didn't know you were planing on letting Sweep's fans hold him.
Jasper says he's be willing to be held ONLY by adoring fans at the start or end of the show lol. I just warn you, he's very cute. Almost too cute. He's very excited to meet Sweep lol!
Jasper loves digging to the very bottom so no one can get to him.
That is a shame Coco. I would love to see Sweep woken by a walnut! Coco - are you bringing any hammies to the show?
Good luck again to all the entrants. I'm so excited to meet everyone!

Re: Real London Show (Bracknell) 10th September
Sadly not Chesca. My thread on Mocho's fur loss explains why. Last year I went to the Andover show which is much smaller. I went with my daughter and she took her hamster Jarvis for the pet class. Both Jarvis and Mocho came from Tuftyfluffs and are cousins. At only 12 weeks old Jarvis was placed 2nd in his pet class and was promptly retired to avoid any future disappointment if he did not do so well in another show! My daughter cannot come on Saturday as I was hoping she might come with me.

Oh that's a shame about Mocho. I hope he gets better soon! Congrats on Jarvis last year. Anyway enjoy the show on Saturday. Personally, I can't wait!

Re: Real London Show (Bracknell) 10th September
I'm booking my train tickets tomorrow when I get paid
Wanted to ask ... When we went to Bath I gave Sweep some green pepper as he refuses to eat cucumber. He gobbled most of it up before we'd even left the house so I put some cucumber in just in case. I also took some fresh cucumber and pepper with me for the journey back, but am wondering if there is anything else I could use that is watery. I'll probably still take some fresh in my lunch bag for the way home, but I am worried if he eats the pepper before we even leave the house that he'll get dehydrated. Would carrot be OK? Was thinking of strawberry but was worried about it turning his bedding red!
Oh and how do I stop hime getting wet through the carrier if it rains, which it probably will seeing as Summer appears to be over

Carrot is ok, there's usually someone around that has extra cucumber and you could get one of them big shopping bags like the 99p ones and pop his carrier in that, as long as he's not bouncing everywhere it should be alright, a small towel around the bottom of the carrier will stop that

Re: Real London Show (Bracknell) 10th September
If you can't get there in time to bench Larry -Jasper for the main show, don't forget the pet class judging starts at 2 pm. You only have to register him on arrival so by 1pm will be fine.
He could do really well in that!

Change of plans for me - I have to do Pet Class for Jasper. What time will you be getting there Pinkneon? Really hoping I get to meet Sweep .
Freya definitely try and make the Pet Class. You can meet Sweep and Jasper !
