Default What do you do with your rosettes and prize cards?

I thought it'd be interesting to find out what different people like to do with the rosettes and prize cards that they win at shows?

I'm looking forward to hearing what everyone else does. I know some people use their prize cards as cage labels or shopping lists, but I still have every prize card I've won. I keep them in a box, and the Certificates of Merit in a tin:

The first trophy I won at a hamster show also lives in the box:

My Champion and Grand Champion rosettes live in the hallway:

I must confess that I keep the nice rosettes, the special ones and one from each 'event'. I give the others back to the clubs for recycling after taking photos of the hams with them. I still have my first pet class rosette and my first rosettes for novice and breeder

Some impressive prizes there Vectis.

At the moment I've got the prize cards in a ringbinder with their profiles but I'm not sure that it'll work for the long term.

This is what I have our one rosette on...

This is Lady May's rosette that she got in the pet class at our first show. As it's the first rosette we won at a show and it ended up being the only show that Lady May ever entered, this rosette is pretty special.

I actually made the rosette holder myself (with a bit of help from my mum) as I left school without knowing how to sew and wanted to learn.

I'm impressed with your rosette holder making skills! The first rosette is very special - and I'm sure it will be joined by many more soon

It took a bit of working out as to how I was going to do it but I used some material that I already had to make it in case I really messed it up. Thankfully I only had to do one lot of unpicking.

I have a notice board (One of those brown cork ones that you stick pins in) for all my prize cards and then I pinned some purple fabric to the bottom to put my rosettes on.
It's full with my pet class stuff now so I'll need to get another one or find a nice way to store them since I'll be starting to show in main soon. Don't think I could ever get rid of any of the cards

We have a big sort of giant padded rosette walk hanger where the highest award go. You just jab the pins in to the padding

Some others we keep in a box or recycle back to the club.
The cards go in a book with the hamsters name / date / show etc and sometimes the show schedule and some photos

I kinda wish I'd have made my rosette holder a little bit bigger because although I only have two rosettes, it's not all that wide so I'm not going to get that many more on it.

When it fills up, I'll have to get a new one.

Oh wow, you guys that's such an impressive collection of rosettes etc! I'm so impressed, I didn't realise you were so heavily into showing. I've got a question but perhaps I should put it in a new thread... What makes a prize-winning hamster? I think every single ham I've seen is gorgeous and cute but I'm not sure mine would win any prizes!
