Showing Hamsters in the US

Hi everyone! As I am new member, as well as a first time hamster owner (I have had my baby for over 5 months, so I am not too much of a beginner), I was wondering about how to go about showing hamsters. Is there any way to find out if there are any shows near my area? Also, what would be some requirements to show a hamster? Do they have to have special attributes to qualify? Thanks for your help guys!

The only one I am aware of is the California Hamster Association which does hold some shows. They have a site here you may want to look at

I believe the Cali one is the only one left in the US--if I remember right, there was a brief attempt to try and 'nationalize' Hamster shows and so on but it fizzled out.
