I am hopefully going to Lymm tomorrow, and was going to take Sunny and Kyte along. However due to personal reasons, I'm only bringing Sunny, and need some advice please. I am going to visit my extremely ill gran first, so won't be along to the show until about 1.30-2.00, I know I've missed my chance to enter main class, but can I enter pet class? What are the rules? Do you have to stay to the end of the show? Does it cost to enter the show itself and classes? Sorry for so many questions but I've never been to a hamster show before.

You can enter pet class on the day. It costs £1 per entry and this means you can enter pets and also racing if your bring a ball. You bring your hamster in a safe carrier with food, a source of fluid and some enrichment like a chew or cardboard tube plus some safe bedding. You go to the show sec and ask to enter pets then they give you a sticker number and you put this on the carrier and place your hammie on the pets bench. They are judged without you there. Make sure your carrier is easy to get the hammy out of. You can leave as soon as pets is over and the prizes awarded or stay for racing. The show will finish by 4.30. You do not pay to come in to the show just to enter the pets class. There will be refreshments and a tombola and things to buy likely.
My only reservation is that pets are sometimes judged earlier than 2 so you may not get there on time if you run late.

Thank you so much for that Souffle. I've never been to Lymm, is the show in the town itself, or in a little village or something on the outskirts? Is it easy to find? ( approaching from Warrington/ Chester way)

It is right in the middle of the village but it is quite tricky to locate! Follow the instructions on the schedule in the first post or use a sat nav if you have one. I'm not sure about coming from your direction as I come from the opposite one!

Ok, think I'll copy down those instructions to follow! Hopefully I'll see you there
