Re: any pictures of award winning robos?
Here's my Billy at winning the non standard dwarf class last year. As he's husky he in in the non standard class with all other non standard species of dwarf. Other that a small nibble at rosette and trophy, he was more interested in the pumpkin seeds!
I only started showing in the main class last year, and took two of my hams. We were third and fourth but first placed robos in the first show, and first overall in the next show. Lola decided she hated shows, so wasn't judged second time round. I hope to take my latest generation to some shows this year, hopefully to replicate their dad and aunties success.
This is Lola
and this is Billy in his usual environment.

Re: any pictures of award winning robos?
Thank you . They've VERY fluffy! My robos seem to have really long fur, which is so soft and beautiful, but when it comes to showing is very difficult to not lose any points for an open coat. We lost out on that in the first show, but I learned a lot about how to get it as closed as possible on the day for being judged, which made the difference for the second. We still lost marks for open coat, but not as many, and I just smiled when it was mentioned, as I knew there really was nothing more I could have done at all. My shorter furred robos who are Agouti never have an open coat, my Agouti boy Rolo would I think done really well in shows, in the main class, but he is painfully shy and would have found it terrifying so he always stayed at home .

Re: any pictures of award winning robos?
Oh Poms, your little ones are so beautiful. I'll have to try the pumpkin seed trick to get my robos to sit still with their awards.
I enter my robos at CHA shows in the US, which for the most part adopts the NHC standards. Although robos are all considered non-standards at this time, including the agoutis. We are different in that all hams can be entered in all classes in "block entry", including Standard, Pet, and a Fun class.
I've only started showing this year, and just finished my 2nd show this past saturday. Results for the MoxieHams at the 2013 CHA Spring Show (including Bumpy, Sprite, and 2 pups):
Bumpy is my hard hitter at the show, he's a 2x Roborovski Best In Class and 2x Dwarf Hamster Best In Show. And surprisingly enough, Dwarf Hamster Best Pet at this last show. He excels in size (48g, while not as large as Pom's, might be the largest robo CHA has ever seen), temperament, and type. It's hard to gauge his size in photos because he has such a large head.
Sprite had his first show since he finally mellowed out a bit and had a late growth spurt. He is my handsome boy and an overall quite well-rounded robo. His weakness is his slightly narrow muzzle and size (an average 36g). At the Spring Show he placed Roborovski 2nd, and Dwarf Hamster Pet 2nd after Bumpy.

Re: any pictures of award winning robos?
Hi moonlite,
a few people have asked me to post on this thread, so thought i would post a quick reply for you.
My Beautiful Pure Agouti Robo, Apollo, was one of the best examples of robos i have ever had He placed in every show he entered and he came 1st place in at least 10 shows (i will have to check to see exactly how many). This was very nice to see as every judge has their own view on what makes a good Robo, but he did very well under a lot of different judges throughout his life.
Apollo was the very first Robo in the UK to be awarded three Certificates of Merit, making him the first Roborovski Champion in the Country and i think he may still be the only Robo Champion in the UK, but i am not sure about this, will have to check.
Here is a link to his thread:
Apollo - Pure Agouti Robo
Hope this helps,
Tammy x
