Please note. No entries will be accepted after the dates above, except for pets which can be entered on the day and which should be booked in before 2.00 pm. Labels will be ready for collection at the show. Cheques and Postal Orders should be made payable to the MIDLAND HAMSTER CLUB.

Pet Hamster Class
Pet Rabbit and Rodent Class
Pet Hamster Class: Open to Juniors, Non Members and Adult Members owning no more than 10 Hamsters excluding litters.
Entry Fees: Straight Class (1-13, 23 & D1-D10, D20) 25p/entry. Duplicate Classes (14-22 & D11-D19) 5p/entry. Pets £1/entry
Sale of stock: Hamsters must be healthy and over 5 weeks old. No hamster for sale to be over 10 months old. The seller MUST provide a card giving hamsters date of birth, breeder's name and contact address or telephone number and a box for their transportation home. A commission of 20% will be deducted for club funds. The Sales Manager has the right to refuse any stock without giving a reason. Please note only hamsters from club members, who have exhibited at least once, at any NHC affiliated Club show, will be accepted for sale.
Show Pens: A limited number of show pens are available for hire at £1 each (Maximum 5 per membership in 1st year and 3 per membership in 2nd year) Please order with entry and specify Syrian or Dwarf. To be returned clean to the Show Secretary at the end of the show. You must supply your own shavings or sawdust for Shorthaired and Wood Based Cat Litter for Longhaired hamsters. Dwarfs may be shown in Syrian Hire Pens if no Dwarf Hire Pens are available.
Directions: Leaving Hereford on A4103 you pass the JCB garage on right hand side. Take next left hand turn, signposted 'Withington', 'Westhide', this is Withies Road; the hall is on the left hand side about 300m along Withies Road; Entrance Road is signposted as Copice Close. From Worcester also on the A4103, pass Whitestone Business Park, continue towards Hereford past chapel, rear of houses on small estate, a lane and bungalows, and on the left hand bend turn right into Withies Road - hall 300m on left.

How easy is it to get to by public transport? I can get a train to Hereford but am not sure what I could do to get to the Show venue.

I do not drive.

Its the 420 Bus to Worcester via Withington - Bromyard - Whitbourne.

Hereford Bus Station is a short walk from the train station.

I have never been to a hamster show before,can you just turn up and have a look around?,if so what would be the best time?

We should be at this one for a bit I've requested the day off work and my boss is really good about giving us our requested days off. We're planning to attend about five shows this year and this'll be the first of them, have been looking forward to it for a few weeks already.

Mogster, yes you can just turn up. Anytime in the day should be fine to just have a look around.

Goddammit I'm sooo jealous of those who can get to hamster shows! Wish they'd host one in the NEC I can get to there!

hello i was wondering can we just go and look around and possibly purchase a breeder ham?. I only have adoptees from pets at home ect so cant enter. please reply

You're welcome to pop in for a look around, after 10-10.30 is often better as it can be a bit hectic before then so people have less time to chat. There's no entry fee for hall shows. If you did want to enter your hamsters, then you could enter pet class where hams are judged on tameness and condition. No special pens are needed for pet class, just a normal carrier, and you can enter them on the day
