I hope everyone who came had a lovely time. I know a couple of HCers came and entered pets so am looking forward to hearing how they did (I was gossiping in the kitchen so missed the results of pet class!).

I had a wonderful day. I picked up two planned robo girls and an accidental golden syrian boy (though he will go very nicely with my new dark grey girl when she's all grown up).
The Chinese hamster classes were pretty large so I was pleased that Star placed 4th normal and Ventnor placed 4th dom spot (and 2nd young stock). Eponine amazed me by winning dom spot Chinese, 1sr FMC and 1st grand challenge. She was Best in Show and is now a Grand Champion having won her 5th Certificate of Merit today. It's even more impressive as she's 2 years and 2 months old!

Well done to all of your hams Vectis Eponine sounds amazing...

Fwirl got Very Highly Commended in pet class (so sixth of six lol), but we take her as much for her socialisation as anything else and she's made me very proud today. For a start she didn't jump out of the judges hands during pet class judging this time She proved once and for all that she's continuing to improve in leaps and bounds with her taming and it was really fantastic to see her prove that

Surely she's proving she's not leaping and bounding?

lol very good point Kissa... But either way she's made huge improvements and I'm really proud of her
We can't always see the improvements at home because they're gradual so shows are a good place to remind her that other people exist and are ok too, and a great chance for Fwirl to show off and make me proud - as she's done at all three shows she's attended, especially today and at Bath (her second show) last year

Well done everyone Orville was 3rd in pet class and I'm very proud of him, first time for both him and me at a show so I'm over the moon! Met lots of lovely people and can't wait for the next one only one of my hams that went to meet and greet someone misbehaved
