Judges?

I just wondered if the shows are judged by the same people each time. I mean, are all the Southern ones by the same people each time, and then all the Northern ones etc? Or does it vary from show to show. Also, say next year I went back to the Bath show would that be the same judges as the last one? Sorry I am not exactly sure how to explain properly lol

There are some main judges, I know jean tye judges dwarves often, and I see familiar people every time, I know that to become a judge it takes a lot of knowledge on the type and colours, patterns, often the judges for pet class are registered breeders who attend regularly, I have seen two lovey ladies I know helping with pet class

I think different judges like different things, I spoke to jean about my rose, if she should be put in main class, and she said how her size and type are good, some judges would mark her down for lack of yellow, and lack of spots, but at the same time her cinnamon is good.
Some judges have a colour they like, it's not like they downmark other colours, but some love sables, some love creams or goldens

If I was to ever become a judge, itl be long haired males! I always go for a wall and see the lil fluffs when I get there

When it comes to the judges the show manager asks people if they can judge, some are availble more than others, it is not a bad thing really.
Yes it was the same judge for both the bath shows this year but before that there were other shows with different judges. If it happens to be the same judge next year it really doesnt make a difference, Its who can judge

There are a few people working through judge training, so in the next few years there should be some more judges to choose from.

Yes as owners the judges have preference, but it does not help in the choice of finding the days best in show. I am not fussed on red- eyed cream, but the day I judged thats what my best in show was. You cant justify putting something up with poor colour/type because you like it. Its about being fair.
