Re: Kingswinford Show
I think its too far for Erin or Womblehands. If anyone gets one of the hybrids Womblehands is rehoming it'll be us taking them to the show. We're seeing her sometime before the show so will just get an extra ham if we get to rehome it.

Re: Kingswinford Show
Can anyone tell me exactly how to get to this show, from either Wolverhampton train station or Birmingham New Street station? And how far it is? I would really love to get to this one if I can, and bring Summer! And I want a couple of hamsters of different types!

Re: Kingswinford Show
Hello Wobbles
I dont use trains or buses as i drive, but i used to use them for travel to and from school so i will try to help here
From Wolverhampton Kingswinford is about 6 or 7 miles i think and i am sure there is a bus from W'ton to K'ford. Once you get to K'ford you need to get off at the bus stop by 'The Cross' pub and then the community centre is about a ten minute walk from there.
From Birmingham you will need to get to Stourbridge Junction and then to Stourbridge town where you can get a bus which takes about 20 mins to the same bus stop as above.
Hope this helps

Hi Tammy
Thank you so so much for that! I tried to look on google maps but went totally lost! Do you know where I can find a bus timetable and whereabouts near w'hampton the bus stop is? ( I can't get a timetable for there in north Wales!) I really would like to come to this show, as its proberbly the closest one to me. I can get to W'hampton no problem, as I pass through it on the train every year going to Crufts, its the next bit I need to find out.

Wait, seriously? I was planning to go when I thought it was in Bradford, as that's not too far from the boyfriend's parents, but if it's in Harrogate then I am definitely going

If you get off the train in Wolverhampton, the bus station is like a 5 minute walk from there (You come out of the train station and go over a bridge and it's on the left
The bus stops at the station at stand L (The stands are alphabetical and there are always people around to ask and it's all enclosed so pretty easy to find.
Here's a link to the bus info. It's got tabs to show you the timetable, places it stops, fares and a map of the route:
http://nxbus.co.uk/routes/west-midlands/B256/?timetable[day]=&
I' not sure if it's the bus Tammy meant but it's the first one that came up on the search and it does stop at the stop Tammy mentioned

Re: Kingswinford Show
Thank you GhostsInSnow, I will look that up. Do you know if a taxi cab would be expensive, as I have thought it might be easier to get one of those from the train station to the show and back again instead of the bus.

Radical thought, Wobbles -- I've been thinking about coming along, screw the cost, and we could meet up at the station and share a taxi, to halve the cost?
ETA: I am amused that I say "screw the cost" and then talk about reducing the cost in the same sentence The point being that I need to get out of the house and start attending these shows, and while this one is far away it also has lots of people I want to meet attending

Re: Kingswinford Show
Hmmm I'm really not sure how much it would cost. You could give them a ring and ask for a quote I guess. I always use the same taxi firm if I ever need one, they're not too badly priced and they always send you a text when the driver has arrived telling you the car, colour and registration so you know it's definitely the right one.
I'll PM you the number if you want
Won't work out cheaper than the bus by any means but it'll probably be a lot easier
