this is jut general wonderment, but what do judges look for in a chinese apart from the markings? they all look an identical shape to me, so how do you tell one from the other in terms of type?

They are all judged against the standard and I think when you have them on the grid you can see the body proportions and examine the shape closely. When the judge feels the animal they can judge condition and also the texture and density of the fur which plays a large part so really it is not just in the look or colour(which is important too) but the feel of the hamster bunsey.
