Default Bradford Champs

Hi everyone! Yesterday was Bradford Champs Show. This was one of only two championship shows run by the National Hamster Council (the other is in London). It was a really great day out with some gorgeous hammies and other animals. We only took 3 hammies but did really well as...

KIPTON GOT BIS DWARF!!!!!

Our pair of Dwarfs are turning out to be a couple of stunners! We were extremely pleased and it has cheered me up after my loss last week (R.I.P Red ). Kipton also got 1st in Winter White Male, 1st in Grand Challenge, 1st in Junior Dwarf, Best in Show Junior Dwarf, Best in Show Junior overall and Best in Show Dwarf. I was really thrilled as I was expecting Bingley to do better as he got BIS last time, but Kipton has really blossomed lately! Bingley, despite his bitten bottom where he still has tufty fur (the judges thought he had 'heavy moulting'!) still took Reserve Best in Show Junior. Napoleon scored well despite being a tiny and slightly pale man, and we were happy to say he got 5th in Junior! It was lovely to meet up with everyone from the forum and have a good chat, and well done to all who did well, especially Bunsey, Spud's Mum and Holly.

Here are some pics and a small video of the day so you can all see what it's like at a hamster show if you haven't been!

Well done Pophammy - I'm delighted it was you

Well done Sir Kipton and Sir Bingley - those rosettes are stunning (I've put our 3rd and reserve cards up on our board but they aren't quite as impressive as your rosettes :P ).

Great photos and video of a great, great day - we really enjoyed it and will definitely be back next year

Congratulations to all the custards! But a big congrats to PH who had such a large grin by the end of the day!!
It was a lovely day and I'm so pleased to see that Kipton and Bingley are doing so well (so SO well in fact). Do you think that Kipton was jealous about Bingley getting a BIS last time that he just worked extra hard to beat him this time?

And of course Poly did well too, he has such a lovely kilt and a perfectly sweet little face!

Well I came home with no cards or rosettes, but actually only entered 3 (and two of those were from my last litter and only entered so I could guage how they would do) so I am not disappointed.

I did come home with a head full of lots of interesting knowledge (especially from Chris and Pete Logsdail), my new dark grey boy (I'll introduce shortly) and....
....the loan of the lovely Yowie Carrington again for my girl Vala.

so maybe indirectly I will get something even more exciting from bradford - a new litter!
