Default Show Pen Paint?

I have a second hand Syrian show pen that needs tidying up and painting before Mapplewell - can anyone tell me what paint to buy?

It obviously needs to be animal friendly - it looks like gloss black on the outside and gloss white or cream on the inside but brands and names would be very helpful? I want to do it early so that it's well dry and aired before the show.

It's not easy to tell from the picture but the one on the right is my "good" pen (which needs a bit of a touch up as well!) and the one on the left is the one that needs the main work:

Sheryl told me she used Dulux black and brilliant white gloss, the stuff that is safe for kiddies toys is fine. i have heard of someone use the B&Q own make too.
Have never done ours but Sheryl told me to do the inside first and bars, then masking tape up to the edge of the white before doing the black bit!

Remember Gloss not Satinwood I have come home with the wrong one before now. I saw low odour, water soluble and thought yeah that is better for the environment etc. I'll get that one only to get home to realise it was Satin!

I wonder if you could take these pens to a dip and strip place? Must need rubbed back to the bare metal / wood once in a while.
