Hamster age(s): DOB 16/7/2014 so about 12 weeks
Reason they were abandoned? Personal reason
Any health problems/special needs? None I know of
Any behavioral problems? None I know of

Type of household hamster would best be suited to: someone used to keeping dwarfs. With no other hamsters or prepared to make sure they never, ever could get near each other.
