Exclamation Can anyone answer this mystery ?

Every so ofter my hamster jumps and runs around in a panic then stops.
he did it in my arms and fell out , luckily i was sitting on the floor so no harm done at all , and he done it in his cage.
there is absolutely nothing in my room to scare him at all , i was just in my room reading a book and everything was silent, my dog wasnt barking and there was no one else in my house and riley just jumped straight out of his wheel ran around like an absolute lunatic , flipping around and everything it lasted about 5 seconds and ive only ever seen him do it twice but i am poitive nothing scared him.
does anyone know whats wrong ?
he is normally a confident happy chappy , not really scared of much and he is so friendly cause he just climbs on anyone who goes to see him
so i have no clue what is wrong

sorry about the poor quality of the photo , but look how cute and greedy he is

sounds like normla hammy behaviour tbh. It is a natural reaction, kinda l;ike meercats to stop and try and hide, they have good hearing so he may be spooked. Unless his head is tilted or he's looking in pain i wouldnt worry.

Yeah they kind of get the 'skits' as me and my mum call it. My caT also gets it where she will leap around like a loon at nothing at all!

Funny animals!

My cat does it too! And, yeah, it sounds fine to me too, 'cause I've had a few hams do the same all the time. Mad-as, eh?
