Can hamsters sleep with their eyes open?
Was just wondering as both Pip and Lola seem to have done this in the last day or 2. I know that Guinea Pigs do all the time but am not sure about hamsters

Mum to Nibbles, Marshmallow, Sonya, Cameo and Kira (hamsters) and Gertie, Johnny, Jessica, Amelie, Madeline, Izzie, Honey, Star, Mabel, Terk, Buzz, Beanbag and Nigel (Guinea Pigs) and Cheezley, Scheese and Daiya (mice). Will always love you Poppy, Harry, Niblett, Alan, George, Woody, Pip, Lola, Daisy, Bella, Little Panda,Tofutti Cutie and Duke.

Yes definitely, they could have been daydreaming I suppose if not. The guinea pig does it all the time and is so freaky.

It is weird! I thought my bunnies were in a trance as their noses stop twitching too but apparently its sleep. Wish I could do that then I never need miss anything ever again!

its possible, peggy sat stone still with her eyes wide open for about 10 minutes!
I was really worried, but the she blinked and started moving again when i nudged her
So she must have just daydreamed a bit or fell asleep with her eyes open!

Snickers always sleeps with her eyes shut so I wouldn't know but it's possible.

Oh my, so all the time I've been thinking Chewbacca is trying to stare me out (he just sits, staring towards me, for hours, in his jacuzzi)... he's actually snoozing? Bawww. I feel tricked!
