Default Re: Question regarding Baytril for Syrian hamster (Urgent!!!)

You could try putting it on a tiny bit of tofu if he likes that. But just a very tiny bit. My concern with a blueberry would be he may not eat the whole blueberry. Or if he does he may not eat it all straight away and get the full dose. But yes try it in porridge as well. But again my experience with that is they will eat a little bit of it from the spoon but not all of it. So again maybe better to just put a pea sized amount on the spoon. Happy Christmas to you and peanui by the way . We had a very quiet one (OH working) so I had time to help hamsters in need!

Thank you so much. I will try it with tofu, which is one of his most favourite foods. I'll also try it in his oat porrdige with which I usually add a tiny slice of carrot. It is indeed a hard thing to ensure that they consume the entire amount. I tried the syringe method but it does make me scared. I tasted it the last two times after diluting. I just give him a drop and wait for him to lap it up. Happy Christmas to you too and all the hammies whom you are helping. You have been a massive help to us.

Hello, I am bothering again. Just a little while ago, I saw a drop of blood near Peanui's urinary tract. It doesn't seem like a continuous flow. His vet's visit is on Wednesday but I will try my best to advance it to tomorrow. Do you have any suggestions in the meantime?

Many thanks.
