Default Lethargic but Healthy Seeming Hamster?

Hi Everyone,

I am new to the forum but I have visited to look at answers before.

My hamster Sebbo is a ~8 weeks old Syrian hamster. He has been amazing from the start. Loves to be handled and come out of his cage, very active, and eats and drinks well. Recently (2 days ago) I have noticed that he seems to be moving in slow motion when he comes out of the cage to play. He will walk around in the area I have set up for him but at a very lethargic pace. Previously he was very energetic and ran around a lot. I've been keeping an eye on him and he still walks around in his cage a lot, is eating the same, drinking lots, biting on his wooden toys, and sleeping the same. I leave the cage open and he will crawl out onto my hand for playtime so he doesn't seem to be afraid or nervous. I was just wondering if this lethargy is normal or if it's something I should be worried about.

Thanks!

When you say lethargic do you mean sleepy or like a tiptoe, cautious walk? Hamster can do a slower, tiptoe type walk when being cautious and settling in

Thanks for the reply!

He doesn't seem to be sleepy or tip toeing. He is just moving in slow motion. Like he raises his leg and makes a step very slowly. Normally when he is out of his cage, he speeds around. Even when he is in his cage or on his wheel he is just walking slowly.
