Exclamation baytril into pouch?

Hello! Our Victoria (posh girl : ) ) is 1 year and 8 months old. usually very fit and healthy, but has got a respiratory infection. It is day 5 of giving her baytril. I feel quite confident with the syringe having nursed sick bunnies in the past. However, I'm not used to the pouch full of food thing! My question is, If she has food in her pouch when I put baytril in will she swallow any of it down? I was nervous about her not coming out of her home again and just did the baytril before she went back into her bed to hide her food. I'm worried now that this precious medicine that she SO needs, has been wasted. The vet has told me to give 0.12 ml once a day. so she has a long time to wait for the next dose. Will she just spit it all out now? As she is so ill, I don't think she is eating much of the food she hides in her bed.

she is unlikely to pouch a liquid so she will have swallowed it. Try and not worry and give th next dose as normal. It is quite hard for them to recover from this type of infection as their airways are so very tiny.

Thank you. She seems to be holding food in her pouch even when she is just leaving her bed. Good thing today, is that she was looking around trying to have an adventure so for the first time in days I took her out to walk on the sofa and look for bits of veg there. She was not interested in the veg but walking around better than she has for a while. I put her back in her home so she didn't get too tired and she has not moved since. I got hopeful then and now I'm just hoping to see her come out of her bed to eat a yoghurt drop.
Such rollercoaster isn't it? Thank you for your reply. it really did ease my mind.

baytril doesn't taste nice. After she has it give her a teaspoon of baby food like a little jar of the grandmas sunday lunch or some puried fruit or some porridge with a little sugar in it to boost her up. Any food is good when they are ill like this.
