Question Should I be worried?!

I have a male Syrian and lately in his cage he moves all his bedding to one side and on the other side there's just liquid, it's yellow and I have to clean it out every day. I don't know what it is and I don't know if I should be worried about it or not. Please Help!

Hello, this sounds like urine. If he is moving so much it leaves the base have you tired putting more bedding in

Yeah. he should not be able to move his bedding to show the floor, I would say you probably don't have anywhere near enough bedding in. Hamsters have preferences in what they will use as a toilet, and it could the reason your hamster was moving his bedding is because he didn't like using it as a toilet. There are a lot of things you can use as a toilet for your hamster. personally I use chinchilla sand in a sand bath but any container works fine if you don't have a giant setup.

It would be really nice to hear more about your hamster, what cage have you got?

There is a lot of bedding in all my hamsters cages. I have glass tanks for my hamsters because when I first got them they kept chewing on the bars of their temporary cages and kept hurting themselves. So I asked around and was told that glass aquariums are better than the cages geared for hamsters. Thank you for the input, I'll look around for other toilet ideas and see what I can find.
