Hamster chemotherapy
I have come across this topic a couple of times recently and the article below mentions it (it’s in the US I think - not sure if this is available in the Uk). It is something that, if it was available, could save suffering for hamsters who get tumours and make the decision about surgery a bit easier possibly- if chemotherapy prevented tumours coming back and allowed them to live out their lives.
Has anyone else heard about hamster chemotherapy before? Our little Moo has a tumour at the moment but surgery is out of the question due to the amount of body area affected - and his age. Hopefully his is benign.
The PDSA also mentions chemotherapy in the Uk at specialist centres in the second link which is also very useful info regarding any lumps.
