URGENT! Something wrong with Pop!
We have only had her about 4 weeks. She was completly fine yesterday and Ive just found her in a ball in her cage. Thought it was odd she wasnt asleep in her bed to stroked her and she didnt move. Ive picked her up and shes lifeless and slipping away. She has no wet bum. Shes a syrian hamster. Help! x

Re: URGENT! Something wrong with Pop!
sounds like she could be hibernating maybe?sudden change of environment and stress can do this.her whiskas might twitch now and then and really slow breathing.or could be another underlying problem.someone correct me if wrong.fingers crossed for her

Is she breathing okay? See if you give a rub if she will perk up a bit. In the meantime give the vet a ring/

Re: URGENT! Something wrong with Pop!
You can hardly see the breathing.... the whiskers are twitching on and off. When we put her in her cage she sort of dragged herself into the position she wanted 'head ducked right into the sawdust' kind of position. Off to the vets soon x

Can it be just that freeze from the fear? They usually pop out of it in a few minutes when left alone...?
