Default Mimo

A few of you have helped me greatly with my dear ham friend Mimo and I'm afraid I have some sad news. At the moment Mimo is snuggled into my hand resting. She is getting many pets and is holding her favourite treat. I feel shes in her final hours.

I had not seen her when I fed her and went digging. There was blood once more in some of her bedding and she was barely moving. I am not going to stress her out by taking her to the vet and instead have decided to just be with her in this time.

I will be sitting with her and reminding her how good she has been and thanking her for her time. She has been so strong and fought so hard. I just hope she can somehow understand I love her and that it's okay for her to rest now.

I am sorry to hear that Mimo is so unwell.
As long as she's not suffering and not in pain i wouldn't take her to a vet either.
All you can do is be with her, keep her warm and talk to her so she knows you're there.
I hope that her passing will be peaceful.
I really feel for you because it is so very hard and sad when they're going to leave us.

She has passed. She was cradled in my hand and was warm and loved as she did.

WARNING: GRAPHIC. Descriptions of passed hamster's body.

While cleaning her off there was a sort of blood booger in her vagina. The canal itself is open enough that I can see into her a bit. I assume this is likely where the blood was coming from the previous times as well. Unsure what the cause is- the vets always checked for pyometra and told me each time that wasn't what was going on.

So sorry to hear your sad news. I'm glad you were together at the end, and that it was peaceful for her.
