Unhappy Red dot on robos nose

My 5ish month old robo has a red dot on his nose and I’m not sure what it is. If anyone knows what this may be please let me know! He is in a bin cage on care fresh unscented bedding with no wood chips in his bedding. No wire is his cage either. Thank you.

Hi and welcome to HC!

It does look like an abrasion, like he took the skin off his nose somewhere. It should heal up but i would check everything in his cage for any sharp edges etc. He must have done it somehow.

I agree with Ria, it looks like he has scraped it on something. Maybe a tunnel made of plastic or even one of those tunnels or houses with hay stuck on them or a willow toy of some kind.

He is a little cutie! I love roborovskis.

Any air holes he might have shoved his nose through?
