Yes you should take him to the vet right away. There may be a twist in the bowel low down that is pushing out as he strains to poo. This is a medical emergency if it is this.
I hope it is not but better safe than sorry.

Yes I agree, don't be afriad to take him to the vet, don't be worried if it turns out to be nothing serious. I was convinced Boris had cancer of the ear - turned out he was just hot! But it stopped my panicking and put my mind at ease. The vet didn't treat me like an idiot either, she listened and took me seriously.

Sometimes the testicles do come out one at a time, or unevenly. Even so with the experience you've just been through with poor old Jet there's no point in delaying a trip to the vets, if only just to put your mind at ease.
