I am so sorry - such a hard time. You were aware she was beginning to go downhill and it turns out she was close to her time. Very traumatic but at least she died peacefully at home with love and familiarity. I am so sorry. Play well over the rainbow bridge little one.

Thank you all for your kind words, it is comforting to me and I hope to her that we got to spend those last moments together. I am getting her ashes back and am going to put them in the soil of a houseplant which will sit where her cage was. ❤️
