Default URGENT!! Hamster seizing

A few hours ago I found Snail completely exhausted and dying. He seemed so peaceful lying in my hands for the past few hours I thought he would peacefully go but he has started spasming and seizing. I dont know what to do if itd be worth taking him to the vets or if the car journey would just cause more stress. My main concern is when he seizes his mouth is open and I can see the seeds from his pouches be regurgitated and Im worried he may choke. I dont know if hamsters can choke but Im wondering whats the best position he should be in to help him get the seeds out his mouth and if there’s anything I can do at all???

Oh no, this is so difficult for you to make a decision and i'm trying to think what i would do. I don't know if a hamster can choke on food in their pouches but if you think that he is suffering i would phone the vet and ask for advice.

Vets have an out of hours emergency service so i would try. I don't think they could do anything about the seizures but they would probably suggest to put him to sleep.

Thank you for all your help. We put Snail to sleep at the vets, hopefully he’s in a much better place

So sorry to read this, it is very distressing to see something like this.
Run free & play well at the bridge little Snail.
