Default Older Hamster or Possibly Sick

So I rescued a hamster about two months ago who I believe was 9 months old (I’m her third home so I’m not positive. If that’s right she’s almost 1 year now). I’ve noticed that she’s been slowing down and isn’t quite as active as she was when I first brought her home. She’s sleeping a lot more and not really running on her wheel much. I did a little health check and didn’t feel anything unusual and she’s still eating and drinking fine. I’m just wondering if this is something I should bring her to the vet for or is it more likely just old age? I’m posting here first before taking her to the vet because the closest vet that sees hamster is 2 hours from me so I don’t want to have to stress her with such a long ride if it’s old age, but if it’s not age I’ll be getting her checked out.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I wouldn’t expect to see signs of old age if she’s only around a year.
What’s the weather like where you are? Sometimes they can be a lot less active if it’s quite hot in summer or if it gets too cold in winter.
They can just go through phases when they’re more or less active too, often more active when everything is new to them then their behaviour may change a b it depending on the individual ham.
If she seems fine in herself, eat & drinks ok & nothing is obviously wrong I wouldn’t worry too much, just keep an eye on her & continue with health checks as usual for now.

The weather has been pretty hot, but there’s an AC in the hamster’s room that keeps the room at 70F. Thank you, Cypher!
