Smile Need some help with djungarian hamster

Hello
I have my first djungarian hamster and need some advice:
1. She tickles a lot, 2 vets checked her and said that she is healthy and she is just washing
Is it like normal for hamsters?

2. Her weight is 39g
Is it ok for djungarian dwarf hamster or too much?

3. Sleep - how much time hamster should sleep?
Is it dangerous to wake up her?

Will be super grateful for answers

I don’t know that bread of hamster.
But all are similar in some ways.

1. They have scent glands about where their hips are so will rub their hips and over their bodies with their hands to cover themselves in scent and rub themselves on things to transfer scent. This helps them find their way and feel happy in their place. They do also wash.

2. Hamsters do not overeat so don’t worry about her weight, always give her dry food so she can make a horde and eat too.

3. They tend to come out at night, once it is getting dark and are in bed in the morning at first light. It is not dangerous to wake them up but I don’t think they would be happy. Imagine me waking you when you were asleep. I let my hamster sleep until about 8.30pm and then I start making a little noise in her room, get her fresh veg ready and she usually pokes her head out of her house to say hi but then goes back to bed until later when it is much darker.

Hope this helps, maybe you can post a photo of your hamster so we can see her type.

A djungarian hamster is a Russian hamster.

Hamsters do groom quite a lot & especially when settling into a new home or after any cleaning they may scent mark quite a bit too so I doubt there’s anything to worry about there.
How long have you had her & do you know how old she is?
Russian hams vary a lot in weight but 39g is fine for a young ham, she may still be growing & they won’t over eat or gain excess weight if given a good diet & not too many extra treats that are high in fat.
Sleep time varies too, it’s best to let them settle in for a few days at least before attempting to wake them, she may begin to come out earlier as she settles in & gains confidence if you haven’t had her long.
It’s ok to wake them but do it gently, rustling the substrate a little or just talking to them & offering a nice treat they can smell from in their house is usually enough, don’t do anything loud or sudden that may startle her though.

At 6 months old the hamster is at about a quarter of his/her life. I think you might have wrong information.

Do not wakeup the hamster unless its absolutely neccessary (like vet visit, moving etc).

She has her own regime so she wakes up with me to have attention and fresh food and starts night running when I go to sleep)
I try not to disturb her while sleeping at day time

P.S But sometimes she does not sleep during day time well, but super active
