2 1/2 Year Old Winter White Swollen Penis

Species: Winter White Dwarf Hamster

Hey, I checked on my hamster early today and noticed his penis(?) was swollen and looked sore. It didn't look this way yesterday. He is eating and drinking and is still active, but he seems more irritated and looks like he might be in pain, especially when being held. He never liked to be touched or held to begin with, but he seems extra defensive to touch. I've been scanning for urine to see if he can at least pee and I have moved him into a box for a few hours to make it easier to find pee spots but I haven't seen anything yet.

No change in diet, bedding or anything recently.



Any insight would be greatly appreciated. He doesn't like to be held at all so this is the best pic I could get for now.

You need to see a vet. They can get a blockage causing the urine to back up and the bladder can rupture. Is the penis out of the sheath? They can get infections which cause swelling and again this is painful. It can be an urgent situation.
I hope he can be seen urgently and treated
